AOTM: The Ultimate Eagles Experience

In January 2016, Glenn Frey, a founding member of the Eagles, passed away. A sad day not only for the fans, but also for one of the biggest bands in music. This passing led many to believe the Eagles would no longer tour or create music, however, the band recently performed at two festivals this summer, and has now announced a fall tour. While people can see the Eagles together this fall, they can also see each member perform solo gigs, which gives fans an Ultimate Eagles Experience.

One of the best qualities of the Eagles is their ability to perform both as a band and solo artists. Each member has enjoyed a solo career along with their work in the Eagles. This creates a stronger group overall because the members are continually working on their craft. It also gives the musicians another scope to their own music careers and pursuits, and likewise, gives fans an opportunity to see the full range of musical talent from each member. Sometimes, solo careers are viewed negatively. However, when viewed from the perspective that solo careers mean more well-rounded musicians, the negative undertone changes into a positive one.

There are some fans who only want to see the Eagles in concert, but the addition of solo careers gives fans a unique advantage. It’s a rare occurrence to find so many members writing their own material outside of the sphere of the band’s world. It’s also a rarity to find so many of those members touring as well. This advantage sets fans up for an ultimate Eagles experience because fans get to see multiple sides of each performer. For example, when Don Henley performs with the Eagles, he is presenting a specific aspect of his musical talent and himself. When he is performing solo, he is presenting another aspect of his musical talent, as well as, himself personally. Solo-wise, a fan might see a more intimate version of Henley on stage and a different musical approach than at an Eagles concert. Therefore, the solo career combined with the group career lends a unique experience for fans unlike any other. It truly is an Ultimate Eagles Experience.

In order to benefit from this, it is important to know tour dates and places. Below is information on tours for all members of the Eagles including former members who are touring. Click on each link to be directed to information on their current tour.

Some look at the solo careers of band members negatively, however, the solo careers not only help the musicians become better at their craft, it also gives fans an advantage concert-wise. The Eagles perform amazing concerts as a group, but they also perform amazing concerts on their own. The combination of both lets fans see multiple sides and talents of each member. Rather than take an all or nothing approach to seeing the Eagles live, fans can have even more of the Eagles by going to both band and solo gigs. Basically, fans will enjoy An Ultimate Eagles Experience when doing so.
