Bidders have until September 28, 2017 at 5:00pm Pacific time to buy Bob Dylan’s handwritten lyrics sheet for his iconic song “Like a Rolling Stone”. Minimum bid starts at $125,000. Previously, lyrics for the song were sold at auction for $2.05 million.
“Like a Rolling Stone” is one of the most influential songs of all time. It has been covered by a number of artists and also signifies a time in Dylan’s own career where he returned to the passion of songwriting. The song is 6 1/2 minutes long and originally was thought to be too long for commercial success…that is until fans began hounding radio stations to play it.
