Alessandro Michele has channeled Elton John’s fashion in the latest Gucci line. Alessandro Michele is the creative director for Gucci and also a close friend of Elton John. Their friendship has been a focal point for this collection. According to Vogue, David Furnish, Elton’s husband, said of Alessandro’s collection, “He [Elton] has all the things Bob Mackie and Annie Reavey made. Elton loves Alessandro, and really appreciates what he’s doing (vogue.com).” Elton let Alessandro go through his assortment of ‘70s glam rock fashion. The Gucci collection is designed after Elton’s own heart with many pieces having his initials (EHJ) on them. Elton’s inspiration goes well beyond music.
Talented singer-songwriter and now fashion trendsetter, Elton’s own collection of ’70s wardrobe is channeled in Alessandro’s latest Gucci line in updated style. It was only a matter of time before some of his glam rock wardrobe made it to the fashion circuit. Elton has made an impression well beyond the music stage.
