The lyrical counselor during bouts of emotional pain. Music’s innate ability to connect emotionally to humanity gives the art a unique quality not found anywhere else. With that connection in mind, local singer-songwriter Rob Anthony is revisiting his own musical roots.
Anthony understands that his journey in music has been influenced by those who came before him. In order to grow in his own artistry, the songwriter has begun a journey paying homage to the legendary voices of his youth. Anthony’s first video in the series is Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind”
Rob Anthony writes, “As a songwriter sometimes a song creeps up on you from your youth and connects with the most honest of places. It can infect you for hours, days, even months. Enjoy this rendition of ‘Against The Wind’.”
The artist explores the Steve Winwood classic “Can’t Find My Way Home” in his second video.
Anthony says of the song, ” As a singer-songwriter I’m really just trying to continue to grow in my artistry and in my depth of expression. To be recognized for the meanings within not only my songs but songs that have inspired me along the way. Enjoy my rendition ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’.”
